Peter Jansen

Welcome on my site,
Here you find some things I presented on the  Dutch-Rhino-users meeting in Haarlem 2006

Last year I made a new sculpture with Rhino as proposal
for a exhibition, by the time the catalogue should be
printed the sculpture was not ready, so the photo for the
catalogue was made with flamingo.

With The sculpture I got the 2 prize at the
Digital Sculptor Competition 2005 of Intersculpt.

Here you see: The Invisible Man ( 364 x 274 x 140 cm )
made from wood at the exhibition.

Because I had made it on the computer I could let make
a Lasergravure in Kristal, ( 6 x 6 x 9 cm )

During transport of the sculpture Differentieel
( wood, 240x 240 x 90 cm)
I noticed that this form could be a kinetic one,

So click on the thumb to see the animation,
although in reality the movement should take place
in a week or so.

With this basic form I liked to tryout RP,
so modeled in Rhino I sent an .stl file to a company,
  animation
and a few day's later I got the product back !

However ! In Rhino I worked with a centimeter
template and the .stl file was in millimeters !
Nevertheless I was very glad about the new great
possibilities for me as a sculptor!

I am working on a model to translate music in a
space form, so here you see a little tune,
now I reckognize that I have to learn scripting,
so this will speed up.

This animation is also about a sculpture based on
music, however the way in wich "the notes" are
translated in space is quiet at random

On my site there are many more things I did with
Rhino, so take a surf around !

Peter.
